Fancy visiting some of the world’s best bars? you now can – without ever leaving the airport!

We recently completed a Immersive Digital 360 Drinks Experience for Virgin Atlantic in partnership with Bacardi, offering a totally new way of enjoying a cocktail. Order your drink from Smugglers Cove in San Francisco, for example, while you’re sitting at Heathrow and be transported to the one of the worlds most famous tiki bar thanks to the magic of virtual reality.

Over the course of four months we filmed in San Francisco, New York City, Los Angeles, Boston, Washington & Necker Island. The project presented a number of key challenges – with 360 video everything is in shot – the crew and kit had to blend in to the environment – we had to get quite inventive hiding lights and audio equipment in and around the set!

In post production, we needed to stitch together all 4K camera angles, colour grade and audio master to give the total immersive experience, and then the content was handed to our in-house Digital Experience team to develop the dedicated Samsung GearVR Android app.

We have been amazed at the coverage and global exposure the project has had since launch, and are already working on some amazing new 360 projects which we can’t wait to share!
